I was drawing some characters for a new book recently, and one of them had to be baby polar bear.

Surprisingly he really reminded me a little cartoon character from my childhood. It was a very old Russian cartoon about a baby polar bear called Umka, who was looking for friends. I haven't seen this cartoon for many-many years but as soon as I drew this one, I thought of Umka.
It is amazing how images from childhood stay with us all our lives and then pop out just like that out of the blue! I was glad to see him again :)))
