About people who care!

I remember very clearly that I hated my school! It was very posh school, but the attitude of teachers towards their pupils and other way around was dreadful. There was no mutual respect. I had a feeling that most of the teachers hated their jobs and hated children all together. These people should have never become teachers! I think that you need to be blessed to be a teacher! This profession comes from the heart! You just have to love it and be extremely passionate about what you are doing! Because very often the future of the children that you are teaching depends on how and what you are teaching them. It is a huge responsibility!

A couple of weeks ago I received a small order from a teacher in Singapore. God only knows how she found me!   She wanted me to illustrate a couple of sentences for her that went at the end of the set of notes for her students. And I thought to myself - here is a REAL teacher! A person who cares! Who wants to make the education fun! She didn't have to write this note (which is very funny by the way) and she most definitely didn't have to find and pay an illustrator to draw pictures for her text. But she cares!!! And I admire and respect this in every profession, but teaching especially!!!

And here is this little text that I had to illustrate!

I wish I had more teachers who would come up with such ideas when I was a child!

  4. How lucky she is to have found you, I think. Your illustration for this is great, and looks like it will be very effective! I agree, too, about teachers. The good ones are fantastic, and the bad ones should all be doing something else.
